Lesson Conditions

1. Eligibility

• — The minimum age to participate in lessons is 9 years old.
• — Students under 18 years old must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian throughout the entire lesson.
• — All students must be able to swim and must not suffer from any serious health condition that could be aggravated by physical activity or water exposure. If in doubt, please consult your doctor before booking.
• — Students aged 65 or over are required to present a medical certificate of fitness for sports activity (certificato di idoneità sportiva) before their first lesson.

2. Insurance

• — Third-party civil liability insurance (RC) is included in the price of all lessons and is valid for the duration of the session.
• — This insurance does not cover personal accidents or injuries. Students wishing additional personal accident cover are advised to arrange their own travel or sports insurance.

3. Equipment

• — All equipment (kite, bar, board, harness, wetsuit, helmet) is provided by Kite Me Up and included in the lesson price.
• — The school assumes responsibility for any equipment damage that occurs when the student is following the instructor's instructions correctly.
• — In the event of damage caused by reckless or negligent use, or by failure to follow the instructor's instructions, the student may be held liable for repair or replacement costs.

4. Wind & Weather Policy

• — Kitesurfing depends on wind conditions. If the wind is insufficient or unsafe on a scheduled lesson day, the session will be rescheduled at no extra cost, or fully refunded.
• — No wind = no charge. You will never be billed for a day you could not kite.
• — The decision to cancel a session due to weather conditions rests solely with Kite Me Up instructors, based on safety criteria.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

• — Cancellations made more than 14 days before the first scheduled lesson are eligible for a full refund.
• — Cancellations made less than 14 days before the lesson start date are non-refundable. However, we will do our best to find a suitable alternative date.
• — Cancellations due to weather conditions (see section 4) are always fully refunded regardless of timing.

6. Safety & Conduct

• — Students must follow all safety instructions given by the instructor at all times.
• — The instructor reserves the right to interrupt or terminate a session at any time if a student's behaviour puts themselves or others at risk.
• — Students must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a lesson.

7. Legal Information

These conditions are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Trapani.
